Aubergine Cheese Melt – 2 METHODS

A Unique dish and stands out for its flavour and blends well to express different flavours in one bite.

Aubergine 1 no.
Pomegranate As required
Cream cheese sauce 250g
Cheese slices 4 nos.
Basil & Oregano powder 1 tsp
Pepper powder ½ tsp
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Chilly flakes As required
Oil As required
Salt As required

 


Method

  1. Cut aubergine into 2 halves.
  2. Make slits horizontally and vertically
  3. Now apply salt and garlic paste along with some chilli flakes
  4. Bake it in oven at 220 C for 20 minutes or cover it and cook in medium heat for 15-20 minutes – keep checking that it doesn’t get burnt
  5. Remove from oven or pan and insert cheese slices in-between gaps cover it a full cheese slices and bake it for another 3-5 minutes and the same time for tawa
  6. Remove from oven or tawa
  7. Apply the cream cheese sauce
  8. Sprinkle pomegranate and basil powder
  9. Serve and enjoy
