Akki Roti – Rice Flour Roti

Rotis are always yummy however, this roti is made with rice flour – Lovely & tasty

Rice Flour 1 cup
Onion 2 nos.
    Green Chillies 2 nos.
Ginger Small piece
Curry Leaves A few
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Oil As required
Salt As required



  1. To a pan in medium heat sauté the rice flour for 3 minutes until a mild fragrance comes
  2. Now to a bowl add the rice flour, salt to taste, green chillies, onion, ginger, curry leaves and cumin seeds and mix it well with a whisk
  3. Now add water in small quantities and make it a to a sticky dough
  4. Heat a pan in medium flame
  5. Add 2 tsp oil and spread it well
  6. You can either use a paper sheet to spread the dough on or you can straightway spread it on the pan
  7. Spread it by greasing your hands with oil and nudging and pushing it from the centre to the out
  8. Now cover it and cook for 5 minutes
  9. The upside should have become dry
  10. Now flip it and fry with a few tsp of oil
  11. Cover it and cook for 2 minutes
  12. Flip it once again
  13. Remove from pan and serve
